Passing through
Many people come in to the church: tourists, people who come to weddings, baptisms and funerals. The baptism of an infant is a kind of passing through: it leaves doors open for the infant's future. * Following the example of St Alfege of HOLINESS - space for prayer and reflection - and JUSTICE.Who do we mean?
What do we need to provide?
Open doors seven days a week.
All the people who visit the church, whether for a wedding or baptism, or just visiting need to be made welcome and aware of the intention of the Church to provide a space apart for rest and refreshment. The special character and ethos of the church* should be conveyed as well as the historical background, in a revived 'Tourist Trail'
